The studio is approximately 5 minutes' walk from Ardwick Metrolink tram stop, making it easily accessible from Manchester city centre and the surrounding areas. Showers and changing rooms are available at the venue.

What Classes Are Available in Manchester?

Empower Dance Manchester offers two commercial dance sessions every Thursday evening:

Beginner Commercial Dance (7:30–8:30pm) — designed for women new to dance or returning after a break. Sessions focus on rhythm, coordination, and confidence through energetic commercial routines. No prior experience required.

Intermediate Commercial Dance (8:30–9:30pm) — for women ready to progress beyond the basics. Classes feature more complex routines, sharper technique, and performance-level choreography.

Both sessions are women-only. Comfortable clothing and trainers (or bare feet) are all you need.

What Is Commercial Dance?

Commercial dance is the style seen in music videos, live tours, and professional stage shows. It blends jazz, hip-hop, and street dance into high-energy, expressive choreography that changes each term. At Empower Dance, commercial classes are taught to be accessible at every level — whether you are brand new or building on existing experience.

Do I Need Experience?

No experience is needed for the beginner class. If you have some dance background and want something more challenging, the intermediate class runs straight after on the same evening. Both sessions run back-to-back on Thursdays, so you can try both or move between levels as you progress.
